FPD manufacturing equipment
With the gain in popularity of IT and related technology, FPD (flat panel display) units have become a part of our everyday lives in the form of liquid-crystal displays, plasma displays and organic EL displays. With the FDP becoming increasingly important as a user interface, the size of each pane of glass substrate produced on FPD manufacturing lines has been steadily increasing for cost reduction purposes. Our FPD manufacturing equipment is designed to deal with this phenomenon.
Glass substrate loader and unloader
This is a piece of equipment used for introducing individual glass substrate panels onto a production line and taking them off again.
The loader takes unprocessed glass substrates from a tray one by one via a Cartesian coordinate robot and places them onto a production line. The inter-leaf papers between glass substrates are removed and shredded.
The unloader stores the processed glass substrates in a separate tray.
Glass substrate terminal inspection system
This is a piece of equipment used to assign glass substrates to other machines using a multijoint robot.
The inspection station performs inspections for defects at the terminals, such as scratches and particles, via image processing.
Transmissivity measuring system
This is a system used for inspecting the processing of glass substrates.
The system irradiates halogen light onto a glass substrate and measures the passing light level. This measurement is performed with two machines before and after a process to check if the difference in light level is within an appropriate range. The measurement data are collected through the network, verified and judged based on the substrate ID.
Incoming substrate cleaning line
Glass substrates are taken out of a case one by one and undergo an inspection and correction of their directions before being cleaned. Processes on this line up to the storing of cleaned glass substrates in a cassette are performed automatically.
